Pixman Report post Posted October 10, 2011 So a buddy and myself went out Saturday morning to scout for his upcoming coues hunt. We saw a group of mule deer with 4-5 bucks and saw a few small fights between them but we also saw them sniffing the backside of the biggest buck. It was almost like a buck would do to a doe during the rut or bull to a cow. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this before, I dont recall seeing anything like this before! elkaholic Report post Posted October 10, 2011 displays of dominance is nothing new to the animal world- probably happens all the time - sparing is normal - these two may not like each other - sure during such matchs their hormones- glands get activated- and the young spike probably has never smelt it before I'm kinda guessin but seems normal !- lol
