azslim Report post Posted October 6, 2011 Check safe stores, when I got mine it was a "last year's model" and saved just shy of $500 on it. Don't skimp, the cost of good safe is about the same as a rifle with real good glass, bet they would get more that one rifle if someone robbed you. CouesKiller.300 Report post Posted October 7, 2011 I purchased this safe on sale 6 months ago for the same price. It is a good safe. I have had no problems with the lock (keep my fingers crossed!) As far as the interior it isnt the best but it does look good and is easy on the guns. Based on the safe that I recieved I would recommend to anyone as long as they are not too picky about things. The problem with my interior was that the holes cut from wood in the bottom for anchor bolts were not a circle and the plugs they send are...so the plugs dont fit, its an easy fix and definately worth the money you save on it, its just nice to know in advance what to expect when youre buying it so you are not dissapointed.
