Beagle Stud

Recommended Posts

My rabbit, quail, dove, and squirrel hunting partner is getting up in age and I would like to breed him one more time and keep a pup or two.

I have hunted with Bailey for 15 years now and look forward to our upcoming squirrel hunt together. Bailey is still in good health but is almost deaf and can't take the AZ heat anymore. We are pretty much limited to high country hunts or late season dove. If you have a female and are interested let me know. He is a great family dog, had a great nose in his prime, and is a natural retriever. He is a bigger beagle standing at 15 inches and weighing a trim 28 lbs. He has fathered 3 other litters of 6,8,and 7 pups. He has no papers.

Please PM me if interested.

Eric

Bailey sure is one good looking beagle. Glad to see he is still active at 15yrs. You must have taken great care of him. I bet you have a ton of memories stored up and would love to see more pictures of Bailey. My family had nothing but beagles while I was going up in Ohio. I sure miss the rabbit hunts back in them days. Thanks for sharing. If I hear of anyone I'll let you know. :)

I have kept him active and the weight off. I think that is the key. I forgot to mention fishing companion and shed hunter...

I grew up hunting cottontails with a pack of beagles. It's a blast. They take them rabbits clear out of hearing sometimes and then bring the rabbit right back to the spot you jumped it in. Spent many of days in sub-freezing weather listening to the dogs run. Hit a rabbit once on a date and went back and picked it up so I could take it back home and train my new pups on a fresh kill. She never went out with me again. Go figure! lol
