firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted September 21, 2011 The plane just touched down in Phoenix on my return flight from New Mexico. I spent the past 4 days with Matt Woodward of Borderland Adventures chasing New Mexico goats. We had a rough hunt, not seeing many mature bucks, but myself and Chris, the other hunter managed ot put some respectable bucks on the ground. The first night, about an hour before dark I glassed up my buck about 3 miles away. There was a road near the meadow this buck and his 2 does were in. We made a mad dash up the hill and ranged the buck at 371 yards. After adjusting to the 6200 feet of elevation, I slipped a Barnes TTSX where it needed to be and planted the goat on the spot. Here he is, the timing was awesome and the sunset made for awesome pictures!

firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted September 21, 2011 Cant really say too much about the performance of the TTSX as I hit him high... Very high twice. When I did put a fatal shot in him, it was .257 in and a dead goat!
