creed_az_88 Report post Posted January 25, 2006 I woke up last night about 2:30 to the sound of thunder and rain drops hitting my roof. It was the best sound i've heard in a long time. Maybe with this rain the ground will stay wet and help with my stalking. Before, deer could hear the leaves crunch under my feet a mile before i got to them. Did the rest of the state get any moisture? creed
SouthernCouesHunter Report post Posted January 25, 2006 Cochise County did fairly well last night. Lots of hail that will melt slowly and soak in good. I agree with the whole stalking thing. Been trying to keep my feet in the same foot marks every day to pack down the leaves to make it a little more quiet. Seems to be working okay. Brian
Dan H Report post Posted January 26, 2006 Yea, at this rate the next thing you'll see is people pumping water from hydration packs in a mist out in front of them walking to cushion the stalks. May have something here. Anyone packing a 50 gallon water pack yet? EEEEEEHHHHH!!!!!! Dan
SouthernCouesHunter Report post Posted January 26, 2006 creed, The rain definitely didn't help with the leaves tonight. The wind helped though but still couldn't get in close enough on the buck. Oh well we'll try again tomarrow. Brian
