MattM Report post Posted September 1, 2011 I shot this buck on top of Melon Mesa, near Capulin NM on the King Cattle Ranch. Snuck to with 80 yards as he was bedded and shot him at about 65 when he got up and started walking toward me. Single shot, 100 gr Sierra .243 high shoulder, exited and took the top of both lungs. He crumbled where he stood and never flinched. Was a great hunt. me and my 80 year old dad. Dad was able to take a doe resting on the bed of the truck off of a 2 track in the pasture. He has parkinsons and doesn't walk well but connected on this one at 265. Sorry but these are the only pics I have hosted.
