Unit 21 tag filled

Recommended Posts

Very happy with this goat, first archery antelope and shot him sitting water on the third day of the hunt after two long days and many miles of spot and stalk..not the biggest buck but very happy just the same,he was a transplant from utah in 2008...by far the hardest hunt I have had because of the heat and the mental side of getting beat by these dang critters all day on spot and stalks..Andy

Congratulations on your goat. I too wish to draw a goat archery tag some year before I'm to old to crawl around with what knees I have left. What kind of setup did you use next to water if you don't mind me asking? :)

Congratulations on one fine antelope. I don't think an antelope has been taken from that unit with a bow for quite some time and if so sure hasn't been very many.

All I used was a doublebull blind and popped it up the morning I was able to sit the tank, there was two large metal tanks that the rancher uses to store water so all I did was get as tight to them as I could and he came straight in from a mile away and gave me a shot. It was 50 yard shot and he had his head down, real calm so I felt good with the shot. He went about 30 yards after the shot and was dead within a minute. I was totally pumped, by far the hardest hunt I have had. Thanks
