Chef Report post Posted August 25, 2011 You can go to maps4u dot com (Wide World of Maps) You can custom generate and order a map for wherever you like. Include hillshading, unit boundaries, etc. I've used the service before and it works well. Even had mine printed on waterproof paper.
ForkHorn Report post Posted August 25, 2011 I use national geographic's Topo! Arizona. Its a $50 computer software that lets you customize topo maps of anywhere in Arizona, and you can print as much as you want.
Viper Report post Posted August 25, 2011 I go to maptech (http://mapserver.mytopo.com/homepage/index.cfm?CFID=10339098&CFTOKEN=31851023) I print out various sections of my hunting area, then piece/tape them together to form one larger map. If you do a "print screen" and copy to power point, you can crop, resize, add text/symbols, etc... On maptech, you can hold your cursor over a particular location to display the GPS coordinates, and label your map. These are real handy in the field. Chef Report post Posted August 25, 2011 If you go to http://www.daftlogic.com/sandbox-google-maps-find-altitude.htm You can get gps coordinates and altitude for the area selected. I use it for entering ballistic data when making turrets for my rifle scopes. (Just thought I would pass this on)
