took the old model 99 savage i bought from Bill Q by this place a few days after i got it to have a front sight installed. told me it would take about 2 weeks and be $60. just got it today. been 8 weeks and it was $116. really simple job to install a sight ramp. guess maybe they don't rely on repeat business. anyway, info for anyone who may be interested. Your experience mirrors mine.

Never had them deliver anything on time or within budget. I was dumb enough to go back for seconds just to make sure...

Lark, weren't they giving a discount to members here a while back?

I appreciate their support of the site but you should have called me

first before you went there. They always seem to have a "better than thou"

attitude when I walk in. I don't have time for that. My money is good at

other places too.

I asked for a quote to get a 6mm ppc built and they took my info and never called me back! There are few gun counter guys that are real nice but the owner seems to have a chip on his shoulder along with a few others!

Hey maybe they will read this post and call me back now. I'm sure they still have all my info, not to many guys asking for a 6mm ppc!

wow, not one positive experience? i had a model 70 trigger giving me fits and i couldn't figure it out a few years back. they were close to work so i took it to them and they did a good job and got it back fairly quick. i figgerd they could drill and tap one hole in good fashion. the whole deal was pretty crummy. didn't act like they could care less if it ever got done. a ramp is maybe $20, and sight is about $5. so i paid $90-$95 to have one hole drilled and tapped. i asked them if they got any repeat business and nobody wanted to act like they heard me. i ain't in any shape for a fistfight right now. at least in any shape to where i have a chance to win, or i woulda made a lot more racket. seesm like most gunsmiths are like a lot of taxidermists anymore, they are really good at taking the work in, but don't worry to much about getting it done. and the guys that are good and get the work done get so covered up they can't keep up anymore. dang, if you're gonna hang out a shingle, do the work. man, they are high priced on everything too. but they seem to have a good business. i guess they ain't got through the "you can fool everbody once" list. Lark.

alma school, between elliot and warner. wast side. during the powder and primer shortage they seemed to be able to get both at times, when nobody else could, they made some money on it, but they did have it. they have a lot of guns, but they are pretty spendy. but my gunsmith experience is enough to not go back. 90 bucks to drill and tap one hole is quite a bit. the run around they gave me between the time i took it in and got it back was bs too. oh well, live and learn. Lark.

Both purchasing items and repairs.

I haven't ever felt that I was treated badly.

Been there a few times. I've bought a few guns and some accessories. Most the people behind the counter don't know much about the products they are selling. Good luck trying to return anything. Way over priced too. I started taking my money to other places.
