Elkhunter1 Report post Posted August 14, 2011 I missed my chance at a good 4x4 during the January hunt. I paralleled him as he walked down this ridge one late January morning. Trying to avoid him spotting me I kept behind the the ridge I was on and tried to guess where he would cross over as he was angling down the ridge towards mine. I slowly worked my way ahead of him and peered over the top, as I was relocating his position I noticed movement to my right, he was crossing the ridge 70 yards behind me. As I tried to turn to get into position for a hastened shot he sensed something was wrong and galloped over and out of sight never to be seen again. AND I STILL HAVEN'T SEEN HIM!
