Fire and Flood

Recommended Posts

I am sure there are those with better pics of what has happened and what is going on out there but thought I would share a few from this past week up at Alpine. Got cabin fever waiting for Big Lake road to open up on Saturday. Here are some photos from the cabin back porch from Friday, this is about noon if I remember right.

First sighting of water headed our way after a good rain.

Very difficult drive, while there is alot of green, it is unacceptable the devastation allowed by this fire.

One of our drives during the stay was up Auger Canyon there out of Nutrioso. Not sure where your folks live there, but that was a pretty scary sight to see how close those houses were to the burn. Course if you follow the ridge down from the Alpine divide towards Nutrioso it is easy to see what was headed for Nutrioso.
