New Coues Hunting DVD

I just received an order of the new Coues and Elk hunting DVD from Dead Eye Productions. It has some excellent footage on it and is a 2 disc set. About half the 16 hunts are Coues hunts. Visit The Bookstore to read more about it and buy one if you are interested. This video was made by a local guy from Safford, who now lives in Sierra Vista.

Mexico was lots of fun, but I didn't harvest a buck. Saw one muy grande and several other smaller bucks. It will take me a few days to write up some more detailed info and post pics about the hunt.

Do we know how many of the hunts are from Mexico and how many take place in Arizona.

I don't remember exactly how many, but it seemed to me about half were from Mexico and half from AZ. I would have to rewatch the whole thing to see. Or if you are really interested I can give you the filmmakers phone number and you can ask him. It's a very good video. Lots of good elk and coues footage.

Not a big deal I was just wanting to know. I like to see the hunts here in Az more. I only hunt in AZ , But do not get me wrong a coues hunt is a coues hunt and that i like to see.

It is a good video, I met the outfitter that put it on through a mutual friend and got an advanced copy. The elk footage is amazing. Good deer footage as well.

Hey, those of you who have seen the video since the final version came out, please post a review here if you have time. Post something about what you like or didn't like or your overall impression of the quality of the video. It will be good to give some feedback to the guy who made and also provide some information to those thinking of buying it.

I just talked to my buddy who appears on this video and he sent me some pics of the bucks they killed this year that will be on the next edition of the video, there are some real toads.

It is a good video. The elk and coues footage is very good. The elk killed are giants. The coues sections have a few giants and some decent bucks as well. Nice kill shots and some frustrating misses. There is one sequence where I wanted to jump through the tv and grab the rifle from the guy. It is definetly worth the $.

The video was awesome. I would have like to see a couple of archery coues hunts but other than that the video was produced very well. The elk calling and footage was remarkable. Hats off to the outfitter and the cameraman. It really depicted true hunting and the amount of luck that sometimes is incorporated with it. All in all I give the video an A-. The only reason it didn't rate higher in my opinion is because of the lack of archery coues hunts. If you haven't seen the video, it is a must see.
