joeeden Report post Posted August 7, 2011 Well first I love that Lark thinks it's an interesting topic. Pretty good man. Not sure if anyone else caught that. I think the economy is definitely impacting the decline. However, I've seen permit fees specifically mentioned several times. In this day and age is G&F out of line charging $42.00 for a deer tag? That actually sounds very reasonable to me. Now gas prices are another story. Tony's right. I blame Bush. Joe
maximus Report post Posted August 8, 2011 my humble opinion is, the economy and the price of gas has a lot to do. if you get drawn on the kaibab or unit 27 is about 5 or 6 hours drive, how many times would you go scouting? i think the price of gas at almost $ 4 for super or diesel has a lot to do with it, also i don't know about everbody also but i'm working almost double the hours i used to for the same or little less money and don't have time or to many free weekends.
