Mathews Report post Posted August 6, 2011 Im looking to upgrade to the Mathews Z7 Extreme. Just wondering if anyone on here has one. And can share the pros and cons (if there are any cons) Cant go wrong with a z7.. I think I speak for everyone else saying just go into a shop and shoot as bows as you can until you find the one that feels right to you.
Mathews Report post Posted August 6, 2011 With that in mind I have heard/seen too many good things from the new Bowtech Invasion not to suggest it. My 2 cents

SpotNStalk Report post Posted August 6, 2011 I havent shot the Z7 Extreme (too short ATA for me) but have shot the Z7 and Magnum. I ended buying the Z7 Magnum and love it! You cant beat how smooth these bows are. With most bows these days you really cant go wrong, as long as it feels and handles good to you. If you dont mind me asking, what are you upgrading from? Coach Report post Posted August 6, 2011 I've heard really good things about the Z7, may as well shoot the Bowtech Destroyer and Hoyt CRX 32/35 too. So many great bows out there - I'm sure you'll find one that just feels right to you.
Will K Report post Posted August 6, 2011 First off i am a die hard Mathews shooter. I shot the Z-7 Extreme and have to say with all the hype i was not really that impressed. With a short compact bow i was expecting a light bow. Not. I also thought the bow was alittle louder than my Switchback. Recoil seemed Good although not even comparable to the Hoyt Element. I think Mathews needs to go back to the DXT frame. My 2 Cents. Will K.

grizzly Report post Posted August 7, 2011 There is alot of space to upgrade between your Browning and a Z7. With so many people upgrading to new bows every year I wont buy a new bow ever again. Go to archerytalk.com and look at their classified section, you can get a 1-2 year old bow for half of retail. If you know your size and what you are looking for you can save alot of money. cramerhunts Report post Posted August 8, 2011 I upgraded to a Bowtech Invasion from a Bowtech Liberty and can't believe the difference. As mentioned go shoot 'em all and see what feels the best. Even though I am partial to Bowtech I still shot them all and it was close between the Hoyt Carbon Element and the Bowtech Invasion with the Z7 being third. The 7 seemed slow compared to the others and just did not have the same feel in the valley but again to each their own. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
