DesertBull Report post Posted August 5, 2011 Evidently, the velvet from deer antlers contains HGH "like" properties and has been banned by MLB. So, if you bag a buck this archery season, way down in a deep ol canyon, eat the velvet and you might walk up the hill like you OWN it. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/tom_verducci/08/05/deer.antlers.arod/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
youngbuck Report post Posted August 5, 2011 NFL banned it a while back too. I looked into it. The active ingredient available for purchase is in trace amounts. I called the House of Fitness supplement guru about it. He said anything you buy has so littlle of the active ingredient it is pretty much snake oil. It did seem like it was big in Chinese herbal medecine.

Majority of them are already running their kits of HGh and running IGF-1 peptides any ways since thay cant really test for it like they can AAS

DesertBull Report post Posted August 8, 2011 Deer antlers? Yes, chemists have figured out that the velvet from immature deer antlers includes insulin-like growth factor, or IGF-1, which mediates the level of human growth hormone in the body, and is also banned by MLB and the World Anti-Doping Agency, among others, for its muscle-building and fat-cutting effects.
