4Falls Report post Posted July 30, 2011 Ive been watching a few bucks all summer in hopes of sticking my archery tag on one of them in August. It seems to me that the antlers on these bucks will be only about half grown come the 19th. Anyone else seeing this on the deer in their units?
Coach Report post Posted July 31, 2011 I saw some 2 weeks ago on Hardscrabble Mesa while camping and hiking Fossil Creek that looked like they had a lot of growing left to do. One was a really nice buck - if someone gets him when he fills out, I hope they post some pix here.
coues.300 Report post Posted August 2, 2011 I did some scouting last weekend and checked trail cams, I think they are still only about half done with what I have seen. It seems later than normal to me. But on the other hand I had 1 rag horn bull bugling in my back yard this morning, whats that all about?
4Falls Report post Posted August 2, 2011 Whats got me thinking is that I do have an October rifle coues tag, but Id really like to slip an arrow into a nice mulie buck. Then again Im not sure if I want to burn my coues tag on a mulie buck that is a ways from grown out. On the other hand a bird in the hand is better than a bird in the bush. But an October Coues tag is in no way an easy tag to fill sometimes and.... what to do what to do.
