QCwtAddict Report post Posted July 29, 2011 I’m considering buying my girlfriend a Diamond Razor Edge and I’m curious if anyone on here has had any experience with them. Would it be a good starter bow? Are they really as good as the hype I’ve been hearing? Have you had any problems with them? I’ve never been real fan of Bowtech/Diamond so I’m a little leery about buying one.
grizzly Report post Posted July 29, 2011 I got one for my kids, I got it with the 30 lb max limbs. They dont shoot it a whole lot but I was impressed with it when I set it up, it was pretty accurate and smooth to shoot. The modules were somewhat difficult to adjust, but if only one person is shooting it then once it is set up it should be just fine.
kennyazman Report post Posted July 29, 2011 i got one for my wife. i believe it ranges from 30-70 lbs. or something like that. any way, she loves it. she shoots very accurate with it and they even have it in pink so its nice and cute for her. i would recommend this bow for a first time women archer. take her to cabelas and let her shoot one there and see if she likes it. QCwtAddict Report post Posted July 29, 2011 She already shot it at sportsmans warehouse. She wants to shoot some more bows before she makes a choice but she is leaning towards the diamond.
norsemen Report post Posted July 29, 2011 If she is out trying bows, here is a few that might fit the bill. Mathews Jewell, PSE Bow Madness XS, Hoyt Vixen, Bear Assassin, PSE Vendetta XS. Good luck
120carp Report post Posted July 29, 2011 if you get it from a archery shop it'll be easier to get the higher poundage limbs when she needs them. great little bow.
Coach Report post Posted July 29, 2011 My two oldest boys shoot that bow, and I've been really impressed with it. It's super adjustable, and seems to shoot very well.
gotcoues Report post Posted July 29, 2011 Some friends of mine have this set up. Great bow for growing kids and or ladies. I don't think I've ever heard a complaint about them. I know of at least one coues who fell victim to this bow! I was trying to get this set up for my wife, a friend of mine gave us his daughter's browning and we put heavier limbs on it instead.
