4Falls Report post Posted July 24, 2011 Thanks AZP&Y, I went back to your post and remembered seeing it before. This little buck is the only affected one Ive seen in the area and was only on my cam 1 day. All of the other deer coming in seem to be in top notch physical condition. Below is a reposting of what I wrote last time, with links to more info on the tumors/warts. They look like fibrous tumors, which do not really cause a problem for the health the of the deer. They don't involve any internal organs, just the skin. And unless they are in locations that interfere with feeding or locomotion or vision, they don't tend to cause problems. I used to see these alot in Eastern deer. Don't see it so much out West.
