Mikey1312 Report post Posted July 21, 2011 I was lucky enough to snag a Coues tag in unit 23 for the October hunt. This will be my first time hunting in unit 23 so as you can imagine I am chomping at the bit to get up there and start the scouting. As you all know getting familiarized with an area is made a whole lot easier with a little bit of help from the people that have spent some time in the area. So please, if anybody can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. On a side note the really intriguing thing about this unit is all the wilderness areas. I am really looking forward to a couple backpacking trips into those areas. So if anybody knows anything about those areas I would really appreciate the info. Thanks. DUG Report post Posted July 21, 2011 There are Coues all over the unit. A+cross road will be popular for this hunt. Lots of Coues in the wilderness areas too. I don't think anyone will tell you exact spots, but go out there and glass and you will find some. Good luck!
Coues 'n' Sheep Report post Posted July 21, 2011 Big unit... Picka spot and learn it... if your try to run it all it will chew you up and spit you out... Low country is just a good as high, but high country is Way harder to hunt... IMO. Good luck.

Good luck, this is a action packed, fun filled hunt, and dream maker.
