elkwrestler Report post Posted July 20, 2011 Well we got skunked in the elk and antelope draw but we were able to pick up 3 tags out of the 13a archery hunt. Hope its as good as we hear, we know it will be Tuff. Headed up to scout this weekend. Any tip or any info at all would be great. Not asking for any honey holes or anyone's "spot". Thanks for the help guys and gals. I will keep you all posted.

Don Martin Report post Posted July 21, 2011 Get the game water book at the game and fish dept. It includes the entire state. Just so you know there are about 250 or so waters in Unit 13B. The G&F water book doesn't even begin to show all of them. Many of them are seasonal waters, and a number of them are way out where you might not expect to find them. These areas will hold boomers and they never get hunted due to the low population of deer in the area. Would you be willing to work one area for your entire hunt that has just a couple of bucks in the area? That's exactly what many will be faced with if they don't know the unit. Those 10 days on the rifle hunt go by so fast it is unreal. Archery hunters got more time, but the monsoon rains can really mess up your plans. Don Martin Arizona Wildlife Outfitters Here is a monster buck that my friend Mike Hendrix got in 2010 on his archery hunt while working a water in Unit 13B. Mike was there something like 19 days before he whacked this monster that had been nocturnal for most of the archery hunt.
