Need help 350 ftps bow what broadhead are you useing

Recommended Posts

I'm shooting the new darton ds-3800 which is the best darton i have had and this would be the 7th one. Im shooting pro-hunter sticks with blazer vein and 100 grain broadheads. I've bought 3 diff broad heads and am having trouble finding one that will shoot great. my last darton was shooting about 320 and rocket titanium shot great out to 80 yards. now with this faster bow I'm have problems which i was expecting. I could always use a little help for coueswhitetail members. i'm going to try twisting my vein's when felched and have only used fixed broadheads. Any Ideas? Thank You!

I am using the slick trick magnum 100gr and I shoot the destroyer 350 and I paper tuned my bow then took it out to broadhead tune well needless to say I did nothing because I was taking the fleching off of my field point arrow every time I shot my broadhead. So if you have not tried the slick trick try it you will be amazed at the accuracy.

What is the spine of your arrow? May need a stiffer arrow with the additional"power" Just for kicks try backing down your bow and see if that helps. I doubt its a broad-head problem since you tried three.....I thinking arrow spine. What are the issues you are having, not grouping with field tip or something else.

Have you paper tuned, walked backed and broad-head tuned your bow?

You need to paper tune your bow. I do mine from 1 3 5 and 10 yards. When I shoot a perfect bullet hole from all distances I have never had a problem with flying any broadhead within reason. Especialy those rockets they fly with my field points out to 130yards coming out of my omen at 340fps.

me and bowpro were just talking about this yesterday, his trick is to try the new fletching tool that puts a hard helical on the blazer vanes and he said any broadhead will fly out of that...

Thanks for the help guys! I'm shooting the gold tip pro hunter 5575. I had used terminators last year on my elk hunt which are a little heaver and stronger i'm going to try them and see how it shoots.

If you provide your poundage and arrow length I can run though the Archer's Advantage program just for kicks, it will provide spine info.

The 5575 are not enough spine for 350fps.

+1

I shoot 330 with a 29 inch draw length, and use 7595 pro-hunters. Even these are slightly under-spined for the speed I am shooting. Not just an accuracy issue, you are flirting with putting a snapped arrow through your hand or wrist if you don't think about stiffer arrows. BTW- I went to great lengths to get my bow tuned (both paper and walk back), and can shoot the following broadheads out to 80 yards right with my field points- Montec, Hellrazor, Striker, Inverter, and Triverter. The only ones that were WAY off were the Muzzys. Good luck!!
