Finally got something on the cam...

Recommended Posts

I just got these cams this year and after a somewhat failed first test run (had one doe and 3 pics of a rabbit in about 6000 pics), I think this one turned out a little better. I had one cam placed on a cactus and it fell to the side from either a bird landing on it (have a tail in a picture) or from a storm. That is the cam with the bear's face in it... I reset it, made it more secure, and should have better pics of it in about a month. Either way, I got a bear on cam, and I am excited about that!

The date is messed up on one of the cams, the bobcat was there yesterday for reference.

This is the bear, also had the back of his head. No idea how big, but will post a full body if I get it in a few weeks.

Can anyone tell what this is? Not sure if it is the same bobcat or a coyote...

Nice pics, looks like your new spot is working better for you. I am surprised you got a bear on your cam during the summer in this area. Keep us posted on what you get!

Its tail looks to be about 3-4 feet long. Looks like a lion to me

and the tip of the tail looks black.

At first I thought it was a lion but when I really look close I think it is a coyote and we are only seeing the white parts of its tail/body! I don't know for sure but that is my guess, it's def. not a bobcat!
