I can't believe you guys blame the breed and not the idiots that pen these animals and raise them to fight. It is these people (and the liberal media) that give pit bulls a bad name.

 

If you want a loyal and loving companion, a pit bull is a beautiful animal. You should see what people do to these poor animals when they lose fights etc. Much worse than what happened in Tucson.

I agree with Casey... I don't even like or trust Pitbulls, but no dog deserves to be treated that way. That was just cruelty at it's finest. They need to take take little punk up Reddington RD, castrate him with a butter knife, put a few 22 rounds in his gut, and let HIM limp down the road back to Tucson. Bet he'd think twice then!! I would really like to get my hands on people like that. It'd get ugly real quick..

If the dog needed to be disposed of, you don't use it for target practice you use one shot and get it over with.

i have had dogs all my life (father was an animal control officer) and although pit bulls are by nature a agressive animal like a few others have stated they need to be youthNized not murdered. Look at it from an wild animal point of view if u found and kept a baby mtn lion its still programed to hunt and kill no matter how u treat it same goes to these animals. for the people who have them as pets and love thier loving nature u have one of the few out there and although u may have treated it right all it takes one thing to set them off into an uncontrollable range. Consider yurselfs lucky it hasnt happened yet.

I believe it was wrong for that guy to do what he did.  If your going to kill it, KILL IT! Especially so some bleeding heart doesn't have to see it and make a big deal about it.  I don't trust pit bulls at all,  my buddy has two and says they are just teddybears!  MY butt,  they scare the heck out of me.  You can't trust em.  It's like a loaded gun that you never know when it'll go off, and who will be in the way when it does! These critters are worse than a loaded gun. Guns don't go off when a kid walks by or someone bends down to look at them. Guns are much safer IMHO.

 

Pitbull dogs are bred for fighting and nothing will change it for the majority of them.

All Muslims are not Terrorists, but terrorists overwhelmingly are muslim. Some Insurance companies will not insure homeowners with pitbulls and others charge huge premiums since statistically these dogs are a greater risk. I won't ever trust a pitbull and if the breed was banned and completely exterminated I would not complain.

On the other hand, If they were banned and exterminated, what would prevent a Brittany Spaniel, Weimarainer or Beagle from being next on the list?

I had and had friends that had pit bulls growing up, I don't ever recall anyone ever being attacked by them. With that being said not a single one of of my friends that had them me included have them now, and we all have kids. Most dogs will bite to defend itself or stop a threat, some dogs however will mutilate or kill and pit bulls are one of those dogs.
