ProSlayer Report post Posted July 20, 2011 Recieved my camera friday afternoon and set it out saturday morning. The RCX 2 was very easy to set up, all i had to do was strap it up to a tree, hook up the controller and program the cameras settings to exactally what i want, aim the camera with real time video of what the camera is seeing, then sinch the strap and lock it up. I am going to check it this saturday and hopefully will have some pictures of bears and coues.

1trakryder Report post Posted August 1, 2011 Awesome pics! Big looking ears without much space between them equals small bear.
ProSlayer Report post Posted August 4, 2011 The whole set-up was around $430 but in my opion well worth it. That price includes the RCX 2 camera and controller, the python lock cable, 8 lithium AA bateries and two 16 GB sd cards.
ProSlayer Report post Posted March 27, 2013 Update after using camera for about 2 years, I am very pleased with it! It has worked day in and day out without any problems and has been up basically since the day I purchased it. The only times the camera stopped working is when the batteries die, or when the monsoon hits and a flash flood submerses the camera. But even after being underwater to my surprise the camera still functioned properly(after a little drying). It has taken thousands of pictures both day and night and also hundreds of videos. The camera is energy efficient and i have found that often when using lithium batteries, the batteries will outlast the 16 GB SD card I use in the camera. There has only been one time when the camera malfunctioned, it was during the night and the ir flash did not work for two triggers. Not sure what happened but it hasn't happened since. I would recommend using this camera. Its built well and works great. Takes excellent pictures both day and night. I have only had maybe a 6 false triggers over the two years the cam has been out.
