DesertBull Report post Posted January 24, 2014 Let me start by saying Nashville and corporate radio has ruined "country music"... Driving/Glassing Music: Anything by Drive by Truckers Anything by Ray Wylie Hubbard Anything by Steve Earle "Southern Outdoors" by Matt Prater "Dogs and Duck Calls" by Walt Gabbard "Opening Day" by Rhett Akins and Dallas Davidson The Campfire Anything by Lucero "We Can't Make It Here" by James McMurtry "Down the River" by Chris Knight "Grand Daddy's Gun" by Rhett Atkins and Dallas Davidson "Mississippi Mud" by Hank III And of course the classics: Merle Ledoux Johnny Cash Jerry Reed Hank Hank Jr Etc. You would love the Outlaw Country station on XM.
Antmo23 Report post Posted January 24, 2014 Idk about you guys, but when i listen to hard rock before a glassing session, i tend to glass way too fast. i like a good Beethoven, keeps me calm and focused behind the nocs.
ylclaret Report post Posted January 24, 2014 I don't have a specific hunting line up but I'm totally on board with how terrible today's "country" music is. Here are few worth checking out for you other modern country haters out there. Ryan Adams - Come pick me up ( or any other song he sings) Dustin Kensrue- pistol Chris Knight - it ain't easy being me Jason Boland Justin Townes Earle Robert Earl Keen Cross Canadian Ragweed Pat Green - ( the older stuff is better ) There are a bunch of other ones I'm forgetting right now too. And just because they haven't been mentioned, you can put on pretty much any album by The Kings of Leon and never have to skip a song.
