Storm East Valley 7-5-11

Here are some pics from the gilbert area from the Storm tonight! Crazy! I can remember storms like this happening all the time from the monsoons.

Great pics! I didn't get a chance to see it coming in. I am engulfed in it now though!

Hoping for a little rain to at least settle the dust down.

What a mess this storm left behind. Just came home from the awatukee area on the back 202 to get on the loop 101 ramp it was full of tumble weeds, bearly got through.

Ahh, the wall of dust, just like the summer storms were decades ago before the ag land was paved over. The pool care companies gotta love the blowing dust for business. I remember as a kid trying to rig a sail to my bicycle.

Here in Tucson we got the storm that caused all the dust. There was a constant rumble of thunder outside. Sounded like a jet flying over head. I stopped and just listened to it, thunder just wouldn't stop. It was pretty cool, never heard anything like it. One of the better storms we've had in awhile. We need some more moisture like that all over...just not all at one time like we had.
