DesertBull Report post Posted July 1, 2011 Is there anywhere, besides the range, that is open to shoot right now? USFS lands are closed to shooting. What about state land?
youngbuck Report post Posted July 1, 2011 This happens every summer for me, when I'm working up new loads for the upcoming hunting season. I'm in the east valley and I don't want to bother with Ben Avery. The discharging a fire arm in a restricted forest is excluded IF you are hunting within in state regulations. Coyote, skunk and cottontail are open year round. Ive never tried rabbit hunting at 1k though... I would like to know of somewhere I could shoot past 1k in the summer time. Maybe gunsite? Ben Avery is 200 yards on the public range. Might as well just grit your teeth and go to usery. I heard Usery closed the 300 yard targets because they called the range clear when someone was in between the 200 and 300 yard berms. Dude had to hide behind the berm like Tom Hanks invading France.
