sjvcon Report post Posted June 24, 2011 I had one done by Van Horn some time back. They did a pretty good job on it. They make their own and it works pretty well. Accuracy Speaks out at Rio Salado Sportsman's Club could probably handle that too. I have not had them do work, but have heard good things about them. Wouldn't hurt to get a quote from them. Couzer Report post Posted June 24, 2011 I have a friend in Mesa that can do it for you. He charges 140-170 depending on what you want and can usually get the gun back to you 1-2 weeks, sometimes 2-3 days.
azpredator@work Report post Posted June 24, 2011 please send me his name and contact info. I'd like to see some example pics. Thanks, Wade

Couzer Report post Posted June 26, 2011 Hey Wade- How did that brake turn out? I heard he gave you the good guy discount!
azpredator@work Report post Posted June 26, 2011 Thanks a lot for the contact. Todd did a great job. I'd recommend him to anybody. 6 hr turnaround. Can't get any better than that! I'm an archery guy, but spending time talking to him makes me want to learn more about rifles (sorry, but won't ever happen ). He's a wealth of knowledge. Again, thanks for his contact info: Todd South 602-677-3791
azpredator@work Report post Posted June 26, 2011 So now after buying the 300win mag rifle, case, snipe pod & sling for $100 I had Todd install the brake for $130 - now looking for a good scope for around $400. Todd recommended the vortex viper 6.5 x 20. That scope looks really nice so I'll start searching for a used one. If anybody is looking to get rid of theirs send me what you have. Open to others as well in the roughly 6-20 power ranges.
W.O.T Report post Posted June 26, 2011 I wouldnt recommend that scope for a 300win mag... the eye relief is shorter then most, which could result in a nice cut or black eye... or so I have been told. I had the same brake put on my rifle. btw... For Sale: Vortex 6.5-20x50 used 1 trip on 300 Rem Ultra Mag leaves nice marks
