Anybody been quail hunting??

Just curious to see if anybody who frequents the site has been out this season chasing birddies.. I've been hunting them about twice a week.. trying out new spots, and finding new places to hunt. It's been going pretty good so far.. I've taken the AZ Slam several times over now. So, lets hear any reports or better yet, lets see some pics of some successful hunts from this season.. I'll start with a few newer pics I've taken on hunts we've done in the last couple of weeks..

We had a good day on Mearns here. And even got a few doves to hold still long enough..

scottyboy, We are heading to the cabin in Young and plan to hunt doves, quail and pond jump some ducks for the week. Hope to have some pics to share later. Thanks for your pics, looks like some real fun!

This year so far I have gotten I believe 70 or so Gambells only 2 Mearns just to dang dry and 40 or so dove havent gotten into any scalies yet but still have not hunted the ol' honey hole. Will post pics later.

Just what's come into the pond or creek while I am smacking quackers. Less than 10 Gambles and none of the Mearns or Scalies. I have seen alot of quail this year though compared to the past few years. Good to know someone is having fun with them. Thats a nice looking shotgun Not sure I would be dragging one that nice through the Mesquites and Catclaw chasing quail...

While I have been out deer hunting, there are Quail everywhere. Just my luck to find birds when I want Bucks! AGFD says it is a great year for Birds, if you believe them.
