Go to recreation.gov for updates on the campgrounds. They post every friday for the following week. June 10th, 2:30 pm We up at Big Lake have a few updates and a statement: To begin we want to Praise the Lord for his hand of protection on the Big Lake area! We could write a book on all the miracles we have seen in our life time and this miracle would be at ...the top! The fire basically went completely around the Big Lake area. All of the beautiful nature of God is still standing and has triumphed over this beast of a fire! We have felt your prayers and know that this was the work of God! On that note we want to once again thank you all so much for all your thoughts, kind words of encouragement and memorial pictures! It has been awesome to sit back and read about all your memories and how much Big Lake has meant to so many families! As we begin to restock our store and get ready for an amazing summer, we want to make this announcement...... BIG LAKE IS ALIVE, BEAUTIFUL, PROTECTED, AND VERY VERY BLESSED TO HAVE A MERCIFUL GOD AND AN AMAZING GROUP OF "BIG LAKE FAMILY" CARING SO MUCH! kennyazman Report post Posted June 11, 2011 Thats amazing news!! Im so happy to hear that. They said the store will be open on the 26th but do you think they will open the road before then?
