AntlerObsession Report post Posted June 4, 2011 The Colorado Elk and Deer draw results came out here in the last week! Congratulations to all who drew! We had a successful draw, and have some landowner vouchers available for those who weren't drawn for mule deer, but would still like to enjoy the hunt of a lifetime in the majestic San Juan Mts! Red Rabbit can attest to the unparalleled beauty! In Unit 74, north of Durango along the Highway 550 corridor, we have several hunts to choose from, whether you want to bring your bow and take you trophy alpine buck in the velvet, or later in the season with a rifle. We have a handful of locked gate access backroads that are sure to provide for true back country hunting! 4 Archery- Aug. 27-Sep.26, 1 Sold! 1 Muzzleloader-Sep. 10-18, SOLD! 10 2nd Rifle- Oct. 22-30 12 3rd Rifle- Nov. 5-13, 2 Sold! 5 4th Rifle- Nov. 16-20 We also have a cabin nestled in prime mule deer country that will be available for anyone who is interested: 9 BR, 6 BA, all the amenities! You can bring your travel trailer, tent, and/or sleeping bag, but it's nice to know you don't have to! Please feel free to post any questions you might have, or call me at (480)204-2326. Thanks! P.S. Over-the-counter Bull Elk and Black Bear licenses are also available during whatever hunt you do decide on, creating a unique opportunity to take any of these Big Game animals during the same hunt! izquik72 Report post Posted June 7, 2011 So is this a price for a unguided hunt on private land and access to the cabin or camping area?
AntlerObsession Report post Posted June 8, 2011 The tags are unit wide, with the unique opportunity to hunt over 1000 acres of private land along with 10000+ acres of national forest that are only accessible through our locked gate or 2 days hiking. We have a camping area on the property, along with a septic hookup for a trailer, free of charge. The cabin is for rent by room, with prices contingent on size of group, length of stay, etc.
