Elkhunter1 Report post Posted May 26, 2011 TJ These pigs are in units 34A and 34B I killed in B this year. I had cams everywhere last year as it was the first full year I could hunt after crushing my right wrist back in 1997 and three surgeries in 2000 and 01. Docs said I would never bow hunt again, guess they were wrong!!! My vote goes to the pig pics. Thanks for sharing. Where did you say this was? TJ
Elkhunter1 Report post Posted May 26, 2011 Most of the muleys are at night but I had a bachelor herd of 5 wt that hit the tank at mid-day, until the rancher put several head of cattle in the small pasture. I never saw the wt in there again. Changed tactics and killed one two pastures over. some nice deer there. It looks like a lot of the deer are coming in at night. TJ Everyone who knows me can tell you my favorite thing to hunt are the pigs. I'm glad to see you showed them doctors how wrong they were. That is a long time to recover and it must have been a long painful recovery before you rejoiced with a successful archery pig hunt. Thanks for sharing. Elkhunter1 Report post Posted May 27, 2011 The physical pain only took about a year after the last surgery, but he mental pain of what the docs. said and finally getting up the nerve to go out and try pulling your bow back hopping there wouldn't be the pain all the while your wife not wanting you to try and failing was the worst. She didn't want to see me go deeper into the "dark" and away from her. If I could I would visit those docs and "show" them just how strong my wrist really is. Thanks for your understanding and support, it really means a lot!!!!!!!!!!1 TJ These pigs are in units 34A and 34B I killed in B this year.
