missedagain Report post Posted May 11, 2011 Is there a specific unit that you want to hunt? Try maybe looking for the food sources like mesquite beans, pear fruit, or manzanita berries in the early season or acorns on the later season. Just make some scouting trips and look for areas with a lot of scat, I'm pretty sure they do poop in the woods.

kidso Report post Posted May 12, 2011 Those central units are my favorite units to hunt bear. They are found in about every mountain range in them. Find the remote and rugged canyons with food and water and you'll find the bears.
