PSEps Report post Posted May 9, 2011 Well I was finally able to get my little brother a turkey! The huge crowd of hunters, and the birds not wanting to talk made this year very difficult. We spotted this little guy feeding in a creek bottom in the bottom of a huge canyon. I told my brother it was now or never, so we hurried up and got into position. He made a good shot at 40 yards to bring the bird down. He had a 6" beard which was plenty big enough for my brother. What an awesome ending to the 2011 NM spring turkey season.
