Scouting Pics

Went out this morning to look around for the last time before the hunts starts. Some of you will be pleased to hear that I did see some rutting activity. Nothing really serious but rutting nonetheless.

I watched a little 2-point and a couple of does and a fawn feeding in the early morning. I then noticed a decent 80ish buck above them on the ridge practically running toward them. He met up with them and immediately started sparing with the smaller buck.

 

 

Not too long after that he headed for the does and ran them just a little bit while doing the lip curl and then he went on his way.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I won't be hunting opening weekend but will hit it hard on Monday until the end of the hunt.

Great looking buck Scott. I drew a Javelina tag in 27. Not wanting to know your secret spot but could you give me some advise as to where I could start looking for a Javelina? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Tracker
