Wilderness Athlete

I just wanted to say i am all for supporting hunting products and keeping the business in the family so to speak. Also the owner of wilderness athlete is a nice honest guy who has put out a fine product , and also runs a tip top binocular store in town. I wouldnt even consider buying our swarovskis from another store, even if they were cheaper somewhere else, even though their prices are as competetive as anywhere in town and service second to none. The question posed by the original poster though asked if there is a diff in other proteins in other products. If wilderness athlete has a mixture of milk, soy, and whey protein, then i would go buy pure whey protein isolate from gnc or any other store that sells pure whey protein isolate. Whey protein is the highest form of protein that is available on the market, and is clearly superior to any form of mix of whey, soy, and milk protein in any ratio for that matter. I was sitting at a table with 5 doctors a couple of weeks ago and posed the question on supplements in general, and it was unanimous that if you are eating a balanced diet then you should not need to supplement at all. Why do you think when you take vitamins and yout eating right your urine is bright yellow. Thats all the supplements going into the toilet because your body has to excrete them. On the other hand if you are not eating a well balanced diet then you need to supplement with vitamins and protein then thats another story. NOTHING BEATS PURE WHEY PROTEIN, NOTHING.

do you guys know what whey is? we used to call it pigmilk. when you make cheese, it is an almost clear liquid that is leftover. like little miss muffet eating curds and whey. it ain't like it's some magic deal. i used to know a guy everbody used to call pigmilk. folks would feed whey to the pigs. anyway, thought you'd like to know. Good point lark. Whey protein is a mixture of proteins isolated from the whey that is produced in the cheese production you mentioned. There are 3 diff forms of pure whey protein and each one is "processed so to speak" to a higher level of protein ( higher bioavailability or easier to be digested). The first is concentrate that averages 40% by mass protein, the 2nd is isolates which average 85-95% protein by mass, and the 3rd being the best form, hydrolysates. The hydrolysates are the quickest way for your body to intake the amino acids in the whey protein from your intestinal lining to your blood stream. The quicker a protein can be broken down and absorbed into your bloood stream , the quicker the recovery you will have on your stressed muscles after a long day in the field hunting big bucks. As a side note their is also a protein in whey protein itself that causes your blood vessels to open up so to speak and deliver more aminos to the muscle. These are the reasons that whey is superior to casein protein(milk) and soy.

that's why i drink a bottle o' nestle's quick ever morning before i go huntin'. it has whey before they decheese it and it has chocolate which is a natural big game attractant and it has been proven to be lucky to drink it. and like smokin' used to do, it makes ya look cool. all them proteins and healthy stuff is great, if you ain't old and beat up. it's bad for my generation our bodies ain't used to healthy stuff. mashed taters, gravy, biscuits, lotsa fried meat, bacon, bread and butter, burros, tacos, hershey bars, cokes, vienna sausages, sardines, head cheese, baloney, porky beans, stuff like that is what keeps old guys tickin. that healthy stuff is unhealthy if ya ain't used to it. but i do think ya all oughta buy enough of it that amanda has a hard time keepin' it on the shelf. even is she won't stock it with bacon in it.
