AZ RANGER Report post Posted April 22, 2011 Did a little bass fishing this morning before going in to work. Only had about an hour or so to fish but I was able to land a couple of nice ones. Both fish were released. After fishing was over I stumbled upon this guy playing in the water. When I first saw him he was just at the edge of the water getting a drink, then he jumped in and started walking around. I have been luckey and seen many of these critters in my life, in fact this is the 2nd one in a week, but it is always a cool expierience.

COOSEFAN Report post Posted April 22, 2011 Yeah the monster is cool, but I wanna hear more about the fish!!! Mind sharin' details on the lure choice? I'm a seasonal fishing addict and this is my season! I've been out almost daily, usually for just a couple hours, and if I didn't I would go insane! The areas I fish are similar in habitat as your spot and lately I've been having a blast with topwater frogs! It's explosive! Spro Frogs seem to have the best catch rate, I have a hard time hookin' em on other brands but they'll smash em' just the same and that's the best part! Awesome fish and monster! JIM> Jim, Both fish were caught on a texas rigged 6" Roboworm in bold bluegill. I can relate to the seasonal fishing addiction. I have not been going near as much as I would like to though. Top water frogs (or any topwater baits for that matter) are so much fun to fish. Its hard not to get over excited and set the hook too early when they blow up on your bait. Anyone want to take a guess on the Lake I was fishing?
