BULL BASIN ARCHERY in Tucson

Recommended Posts

I'm about ready for a new set of string and cables.

Sounds like this is the place to go with all the positive feedback.

Were you able to pick your color options for your new set?

You can definitely select strings colors if you use Bull Basin's local string maker, Byron. He has most of the colors available offered by BCY in 452x and his strings have a one year warranty. If you have any issues with peep rotation or stretch Bull Basin and Byron will take care of you. I've got his strings on all my bows...I'm sure they can get you Winner's Choice too.

I've heard good things about his(Byron)strings. Hard to get a quality string these days. I'll definitely stop by tomorrow for their "Hoyt day" to check things out. thanks!!

Yes, Byron did my string, and I can't say enough about how impressed I am. My bow required absolutely no tuning or pin adjustment after it was installed. I spent quite a while convincing myself to go with a custom string maker, and now I will never look back.

Awesome thanks!

I was able to step in for a few minutes today. All I can say is "WOW". I was very impressed with the layout and the very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I think I even saw a PSE guy wearing a Hoyt shirt today :D . After my experience I can see why there has been so many positive things stated about Bull Basin in Tucson.

Now I just need to decide on a color combination for my new set.

I have never had a god experience with them at all rude people and very high prices . IMO

I have been reading Coues Whitetail for some time now and haven't ever felt like joining before. I have been in Bull Basin Archery in Flagstaff numerous times and also in the Tucson store a few times. I have never been treated rudely, in fact I have been treated very professionally every time, in both stores. Granted they are not a discount store, but I have found their pricing to be in line with the big box stores, plus helpful & knowledgeable service.

Jr. and Tim run great shops. They carry all kinds of stuff and their staff is super knowledgeable, They can help everyone from the total new-guy, to the experienced hunter looking to tune and tweak his setup and then turn around and help the professional target shooter get his fancy gizmos set up.

Overall great atmosphere and great selection. Their prices run par to the same thing any where else. You cant compare "discount-crap.com" to the service you get at BULL BASIN!

I sure like my archery shop best... Although the guy in there is sometimes a flake... but then again it's 25ft from my living room. Lol...

Will the have any left handed bows?

I have a HOYT LAZERTEC (left handed) thats only been shot twice at the range, never dropped or dry fired and its hunt ready, fully equ. Comes with a dozen hunt ready Carbon arrows and a release. $300 obo. I would keep it for myself but the only problem is I am right handed.

I agree 100%. I have on order a custom string/cable set. I'm currently waitng for a specific part from the manufacture before I get the new set put on. However, On my current set. The bottom serving had completly separated to a point the strands were exposed. After a complete inspection. The staff at Bull Basin assured me that they could re-serve this area and it would hold up without question until I got the specific part from the manufacture. Quality work that I can depend on. Thanks Bull Basin of Tucson!!

P.S. After getting 100 shots on the reserving it looks and is holding up like new.My mind is at ease. Thanks again Troy for your awesome craftsmanship..

I also have had bad experiences at the Tucson shop. They made me feel like I was a looser hunting with old equipment. They looked down at me. I will walk out of a store every time when they think they can try and make me feel like a third rate hunter. Old or new its the shot pacement that kills.

I have never had a god experience with them at all rude people and very high prices . IMO

Please remember the Tucson store is pretty new. For any business in this economy all that can be asked of its customers is for them to give the business a fair chance. Not all customers will be 100% happy with every transaction from any store. Personally I try to back anyone that is willing to support our sport and our favorite site!!!!!! If you have a bad experience at BBA or any other supporter of our sport call them and talk to the owner or manager and give them feedback. I can promise you that not many people are willing to pick up the phone. Preferably before posting it to the web so that you do not tarnish the reputation of that business when you did not give them a chance to fix their mistake. I am not saying anyone here did not try and report their bad experience but a couple of you did have a bad experience then help us all out and make the call so they can fix it. Do not let one bad encounter or employee ruin your opinion of the shop. Shoot any business goes through a few employees to find the great ones. I do know the owners and know they are definitely all ears when it comes to making the Tucson shop a great shop regardless of your equipment being old or new. :) If you have some suggestions or ideas that would make it better please feel free to PM me and I will see what can be done to make the store fit all or our needs.

PS draw deadline is getting near...I'm still waiting on Colorado to post results.....Good luck this year.

I went into that store on three separate occasions and got the same results every time. When you get that kind of service from the store manager you have to wonder if that is the way it is run on a daily basis, three strikes and your out. Besides the attitude WHO PAYS $2.50 PER ARROW JUST TO GET THEM CUT??????
