AZantlerhead Report post Posted March 26, 2011 My father and I hiked 3 miles each way the first few days of his hunt to a nice honey hole, but the big bucks just weren't doing anything there...on the last morning he walked the road to a known spot where they would cross about a mile from camp. This buck was there with does & slipt up and the rest is a filled tag, freezer, and a " management" buck on the wall as dad called it. Still a trophy none the less.. I made the plaque and mounted it for his Christmas present.I thought the field pic sequence was funny. A Tuff and memorable hunt it was! Congrats Dad

AZantlerhead Report post Posted March 27, 2011 Dad was thrilled as allways with any tag filled or just to hunt the hunt as well.... When I got to camp for a pit stop the last day he said he found a nice "set" and they were hangin in the tree behind the camper, he had said nothing over the radio about getting a buck.. something was up though cause dad sitting in camp during a hunt is odd anyway, dad is good at surprises, I still assumed he ment sheds... I took a look, saw the buck...Then bear hug and teary eyed whoops of celebration between us ...yes last day bucks are great cause to be happy
