The scouts are from the queen creek area and are currently searching for the lost scout. luv2fish Report post Posted March 25, 2011 The base camp is at an area known to locals as "Timber Camp" There is a sign on the highway showing where to turn. You turn left off of the highway. It is a favorite camping and picnic area. The Gila County Sheriffs office is over the search. Their number is 928-425-4449. I would call them before I head out to see if they still need help. AzHuntingAddict Report post Posted March 25, 2011 Just got off the phone with Gila county sherrifs office, a DPS officer found the boy. He is dehydrated but will be fine. Not sure if the news has been sent out. I was planning on heading up too, so thanks for your willingness to help. I am glad it was a rescue and not a recovery!
