lucky2hunt Report post Posted May 23, 2011 Wow what a night!!! First and foremost, I want to add my thanks to Amanda for the work and dedication, it is appreciated by many! My night was unbelievable, it started out with an amazing Yeti Cooler, then I find out I get to go hunting in Mexico and New Zealand!!! Wow....Wow... I have said it before, and I'll say it again - I am so blessed to have a husband who completely understands and supports my passion for hunting. I am a lucky girl! The silent auctions were fun and exciting, I even picked up the perfect neckless to go with the dress I'm wearing for my son's wedding!!! Yay My table didn't win many raffle prizes, but we sure had fun! Tj & Peg, as always it's wonderful to visit with you, Gary, Mark, Kathi, Ellen and Tony it was a pleasure to meet you and share our evening with you! Many laugh were had by all. AND next time we'll bring a rope to tie Peg's arm down during the auction Now, did she want coffee or to bid on that mule deer hunt? hahaha Thanks for pictures guys, they're great! cramerhunts Report post Posted May 23, 2011 I also had another great time at the banquet. I got to meet a few more members and chat with ones that I don't get to see too often. Already looking forward to next year!

Outdoor Writer Report post Posted May 23, 2011 I forgot in my message above to apologize to the folks at our table -- and any others that might have missed me -- for disappearing forever. It was a tough night, and I would like to thank everyone who showed concern, including a couple strangers who asked about my well-being outside the doors. That said, I enjoyed meeting all the new acquaintances at our table and visiting with some old friends, as well. And lastly, congrats to all the rats that won something; I no longer consider you friends.
Chef Report post Posted May 23, 2011 Tony, I wondered where you had gone to. You didn't by any chance purchase a ticket for the $1000 blitz did you?
Outdoor Writer Report post Posted May 23, 2011 Hector, Yuppers, that's where I went. I have no idea what made me ill, but it had all the symptoms of food poisoning. All I had eaten all day was a bag of peanuts and a couple granola bars. I was already feeling bad before eating a roll, the salad and the prime rib, and the only thing I had to drink to that point was a Corona with a piece of lime. I was much better by time we left at 11 and had no ill effects Sun. a.m. Go figger. BUT...despite me being in abstencia, Ellen had a great time. So thanks to everyone at the table for wife-sitting. And no, I didn't purchase a blitz ticket. All we had were the general raffle ones -- about 35 of them.
CouesWhitetail Report post Posted May 24, 2011 Hector is asking because the first ticket they drew for the 1000 cash didn't have anyone claim it, so they drew again and mark and kathi won it!!
Outdoor Writer Report post Posted May 24, 2011 Yeah, I figured that. El kinda filled me in on all the wins and buys on the drive home. But trust me, if I had purchased a blitz ticket for the cash, I would have been sure to leave it with her, as I did with the other tickets. Of course, it wouldn't have mattered much since I never win anything. I've probably been to two dozen fund raising dinners over the past decades and have yet to win even a free taco at Taco Bell. I too haven't won a thing that I can remember on anything I've ever played. I'm sure glad you are feeling better. TJ ps......don't think I took the time to thank you Amanda for the work you put into the banquet and all you do for us. THANK YOU!
Mrs125coues Report post Posted May 24, 2011 Thanks TJ for posting the pictures. It was a wonderful evening, and not just because we won the cash! I am excited for Mark to go on his lion hunt next year and the Antelope hunt in Wyoming will be a blast, we are hoping that TJ and Peg will be able to go with us. Amanda, thanks for the work you did and do. We are well aware of the hard work involved as we work the AZ Elk Society banquet. The Cooks at Mesa convention center need to learn a few things from the cooks at the Chaparel Inn. It was nice to meet the new people also. Looking forward to the other banquets and hope to see some of ya'll at the Outdoor Experience 4 All Banquet....for a great cause!!!
