az.antlerenthusiast Report post Posted March 23, 2011 Took off with Dustin the Antlerhead last weekend. Still a little early for browns but that was to be expected. Dustin found all the major cool stuff this trip, but I wasn't disappointed in what I managed to find. Here is a pair of old coues antlers. Dustin found 1 side and I found the other side about 1/2 mile away on the same hillside( whats the chances of that?). Both had similar conformation and almost identical buttons. Old brown hog with one of his finds. Very nice 6 point shed. Old but good coues shed from this trip. 10 minutes before dark and a nice find for Dustin. Both of us had walked right by this head for a couple years. This head would probably be in the 320 class I would guess. This ended up being our finds for the weekend. We found our share of mule deer sheds, a couple coues sheds, and few keeper elk sheds. Dustins' haul. End of trail and a bit on the tired side.
shedghost Report post Posted March 23, 2011 Nice Job Antler Enthusiast. Thanks for the good pics and text to go along with it. Glad so see people pounding the ground on foot, and gettin those antlers before the fatties on ATV's get them.

Bighorns Report post Posted March 25, 2011 All I have to say is you boys are good, real good!! Thanks for sharing. I would say if you continually get piles like that you should seek some sponsorship, just an idea. That guy who pans for gold made a show/living of it, and I think he was kicked in the head by a mule? I would say more people shed hunt than prospect. and that show was lookin good last time I watched.... I think theres a new show on trapping also.. Do you guys have any video I could show some people I know? Again thanks for sharin the trip, I would give anything to have the ability and skill to shed hunt like that! AZantlerhead Report post Posted March 25, 2011 Bighorns, Shed Fever... instead of gold fever?....nice. We have some older stuff on youtube if you search Arizona shed hunting. I have a few trips including this one that we have footage from that I still need to edit and get uploaded. I'll try to get on it. Were not the best but do try hard and just love hunt. Typically blessed for our efforts you might say. Thanks to you and the others for the kind words & welcome to CW.com! Your Avatar is Awesome! Dustin
youngbuck Report post Posted March 25, 2011 Bighorns, Shed Fever... instead of gold fever?....nice. gold, gold, gold, gold, gold, gold.... That guy is somethin else. It would be cool to watch on TV. It would be pretty difficult to edit and film to keep the skyline out of frame. You wouldn't want to give away any of your honey holes. I suppose boots would be at the top of that sponsor list with the miles you gotta put on.
