Mace's Buck

Holy smokes!!!!!!  I don't think I've ever seen G2's that long.  The G3's are incredible as well.  I agree, the field pictures  do that buck a lot more justice.  Any clue as to how he will rank in the books?

I'm not sure where he's gonna go in the book, don't really care. His

g 2's are just under 13" long!!! He's amazing to see in real life. I have alot more pics and might post some of the better ones. Thanks for the comments and good luck.

That Buck is a FAKE!! This guy thinks he is all bad butt and the best hunter ever in the world!! It looks like the Buck was digitally enhanced to make it look real!! Mason you probably just found the rack from lion kill and then used the computer to make it look like you got a big one!!! The antlers are too white so they were probably off a buck that had been dead for about a month before you got him and had been laying in the sun!!!!!!

I can only hope that you are just messing around. Plese do not disrespect this buck or myself by such ridiculous comments. I have no need to pull some kind of stupid prank like what you are saying. However for you to be able to dream of such a stunt makes me question the type of person you might be! I killed a coues in Sonora that had antlers much lighter in color than those on this buck so you can't make any judgement by the color of the antlers alone.

I've never had an article in T.H., had one in Eastmans' Bowhunter a few years back and another in the newest issue of Hunting Illustrated.

 

It's been a great year for us so far. Hopefully I can top my year off with arrowing a big Coues buck in Dec or January.

You know, for coueshunter12 to say that kind of b.s. makes me question the integrity of that prick myself. I sure hope he is joking. If he's not, it's easy to tell the maturity and mentality of someone such as he. I'd really like to see a buck he has killed that could even begin to match the bruiser Mace took. I just harvested a 6x6 bull that would have a hard time beating the score on this monster coues. Brother you did good. I know where you killed him and bet on it, I'll be there next year. I think you have plenty of reason to puff your chest and be proud of him. Hey for all you Safford guys, quit inviting all these city folks to our areas. You know I kept thinkin about the ol' boy that stated something just didn't look right. You know I have a comment about that. I thought the same thing as I sat there with this buck in my hands. "Something just doesn't look right". Well it took me a few days to realize why it doesn't look right. The buck is so flippin' big, there ain't many people seen anything like it. I know I haven't and probably won't ever see anything like it. Ever. This buck is so big it would be a respectable mule deer to harvest. I'm still amazed with it. I'm glad I was able to put my hands on this rack.

Ya know this is an easy one to figure. If its real, ( and looks that way to me) hes a whoile lot luckier/better then us. and chasing the coues. Dont matter which one. As all of you will attest to, some days it pays to be luckier then good.

 

If it digital enhanced or messed with. Then hes better at playing with a computer then we are. Either way. WOW. If he gets it scored, then we will see it in the books if its real and if he dont get it scored. Then we will just have to guess. But to me its a no brainer either way. No matter which side of the fence you fall on he one upped the lot of us. And in that sence. I dont mind it a bit. Thats one nice critter to look at. I hope one day to see one of those again in the wild. And even more so to have another shot at one. Until then I will ( like the rest of you) Look at pics on here and dream/ drool/ pray . or what ever else those of us without tags do. Or those of us who did not tag this year. Or even those who did and didnt quite get the taod we have been looking for. Now quit bad mouthing this monster until something official tells you if its a hoax. Then we (my self included) will assit in the bashing. If you think its a hoax hold you tongue until something is said. I dont think Mason would be on here if it was. Could you imagine What would happen if it was a hoax. After posting on here, with his pic. I know lots of folk in the Gila valley, but dont think anyone is that crazy.

WOW. no othe way to describe it. I have an idea where he came from, and the more power to you. Thats a long hike. Now please give us a story. Remember theres a bunch of us on here who are living vicariously , as we dont have tags of our own. LOL And hey you dont have to give specifics as to area. I don't know about the rest of you. But Ernesto and Amanda know me personally. I held that buck in my hands yesterday. It is truly a monster. Mace is a great hunter and would never pull a prank like digitally enhancing photos. He just happened to kill a coues buck that we can only dream about. We put that buck up next to my 118" and it made mine look like dink. It is truly a huge buck. To have held it in my hands, I still can't believe how big it was. It is a monster.

Looks like mama got humped by a muley! Even the ears on that guy are huge. Maybe that is one of the deer living out by the Palo Verde plant, drinking out of the magic river.
