The Arizona Deer Association is looking for a few new Board Members. The current group has been active for a lot of years and a couple of our Board Members have been transferred out of state. While I would rather spend my time looking for sheds this spring, the Board is planning our banquet on May 21, 2011 and organizing our work project south of Payson, the Connor Catchment, scheduled for April 23, 24. The ADA Board has been active in raising funds for Coues and Mule Deer habitat, we sit at the table with the Arizona Game and Fish Department determining which projects are funded (Try reading a book longer than War & Peace with numbers), We try and inform the deer hunters of the state with regard to new hunts, revised hunts and any changes that we hear need to be made. We represent the deer hunters at commission meetings and we try and convey any political news that comes down either from Washington or the state legislature. So, there it is. We need some new blood and some fresh help. If you are interested, look us up on azdeer.org. You can contact me directly since I currently am the President.
