DLC covert II

So i bought a couple Covert cameras and have been trying to set them up around the yard to see how they work. I set the first one for 5 second delay and a 2 picture shoot. the first cam seems to take a pic every 10 seconds or so regardless of whats in front of it. I tried it in 2 different spots and it still does it.The first place i set it, it took a pic of nothing every 10 seconds for an hour and a half. I set the second one up and it only takes pics when something is in front of it.The second one seems to work fine.. I set them both up the same...with the same settings and all. anyone know whats up or what I am doing wrong here???? I wonder if the cam is goofy or is it just me? LOL

Well I haven't heard of people having this problem but I'm sure u can send it back. I noticed Cabelas has bushnells that looked identicle to the coverts. I assume covert sold bushnell x amount of cams and let them put their name on them. Reason I bring this up is the reviews were pretty bad on Cabelas website and they were on clearance.

Well I changed some of the settings and it seems to not take pics every 10 seconds now. I set up both cameras and one seems way more sensitive than the other on the same normal setting...?

It shouldn't be doing that. Occassionally there have been some covert 2s that have taken a pic evey ten seconds like that...if you bought them from me, just email or call me to get a new camera. If you bought them from someone else, contact them and they will handle it.

 

One thing you might try is increasing the delay to 20 seconds sometimes having it at 10 seconds or less hhas been related to this.

 

Fyi.....the bushnell cameras referred to in another post are not Coverts. Covert did not sell any cameras to be put out with the bushnell name on them. Bushnell just copied the covert and got the same company in china to make them.

I noticed that they are very similar but like Amanda said they are not the same. They are practicly identical with the exception of the lense and sensor location. If you look closely you will notice that these locations are flip flopped on the two different cameras. Also the Bushnell has a few more LED bulbs. I'll stick with the Coverts being that they have proved to be IMO the best camera on the market.

 

 

 

Covert: Sensor is above the lense. Has less LED's than the Bushnell.

 

 

 

 

 

Bushnell: Lense is above the sensor.

Thanks Amanda, I just reset the cam for a 30 second delay and checked the card this am. It worked fine for about an hour then started taking pics every minute and a half for the rest of the night, while the one next to it only took 4 pics all night. I think its faulty like you said. Thanks for the input....
