To all the single men

Recommended Posts

I'm getting married finally at age 37. Been close before, but never stood at the alter. So before you guys get on here and tell me life as I know it is going end soon, let me tell you about this special lady.

I met Colleen AKA "couescooker" :) on a hunting trip to PA with a friend of mine around a family campfire full of small town strangers. Little did I know then it would come to this. After a couple more trips to PA for deer hunting, hours and hours on the phone, many tickets purchased back and forth for pleasure trips, we decided to take the risk and Colleen moved to AZ. We never looked back and we've been together for three years now.

Now the good part, Colleen is a real small town darling. She's beautiful, intelligent, she's great with and around my kids, and LOVES to cook game meat. Although she is opposed to the idea of doing the killing. She's super supportive of my hunting obsession and she'll cook the wild stuff 7 days a week and enjoys doing it. We spend lots of time in the outdoors together and I look forward to spending my life with Colleen by my side.

July 23 is the day I say I do....

So boys, hold out for someone special who supports your addiction, they do exist! Throw the ones away that don't support it, it only gets worse

Thanks Amanda,

I will definitely post some pictures of our wedding. Unfortunately, my parents and grandparents have passed on. So, We've decided to have the wedding in Grove City, PA where Colleen has an extended family and millions of friends she left behind to be with me.

So does she also come with a nice basboat and good bird dog?? :D

Congrats and many happy years ahead.

Thanks Gents,

No bassboat and a cute cuddly Lion-haired drawf rabbit instead of the bird dog. She also came equipped with the tools to tolerate me and my set ways. I assure you, that's worth a lot more than its weight in gold.

My congratulations on finding such, soon to be better half, lady that loves the outdoors and cooking. The cooking part is a big plus. I was fortunate to land one myself 34yrs ago and wish you and your new bride to be many happy years to come. Post some pictures of the wedding for sure. :)

Congratulations Justin!!!

I definitely know the value in having a wife that supports our hunting addiction! Before mine started college she used to actually hunt with me and killed a few critters, but after college and starting her career she doesn't hunt anymore. I have since learned she only hunted so that she could spend more time with me! Now she just lets me hunt for 150 days a year and is still with me...which is amazing and I'm very fortunate!

Glad to hear you found a good one, congrats again! JIM>

I am thinking a CouesWhitetail.com shirt would be great to wear for your wedding!! LOL!!! Maybe all the Groomsmen too? :)

Guess we will find out just how tolerant your wife is of your huntin' habit!! :)

Congrats on finding the one!

I'm still waiting and have been through a few who like my hunting habit because they think it's cute and/or manly...at least through the first season. The second season is usually the breaking point. They might say there isn't a "season" and that it's a year long thing. I feel there is definitely a down time :)

Hope you two enjoy a lifetime of adventures together.

You know what is worse than a spouse that does not support your hunting addiction? One that can't wait for you to leave on your next trip.
