Kevin Report post Posted November 30, 2005 Here is PETA's latest campaign. Personally, I think this kind of extremism hurts their efforts; I hope so at least! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,176739,00.html Kevin
az4life Report post Posted December 1, 2005 Now here is something we can all agree on. PETA people are idiots, and they are having a hard time convincing adults with more than half a brain that their animal rights cause is just. But now they are trying to corrupt other people's children and That is WAY over the line. Kids are impressionable and they do not have all the facts and life experience to make life decisions like being a vegetarian or protesting hunting. I would not fault anyone for tossing some good old organic steer manure on them for trying this crap tactic.
DEERSLAM Report post Posted December 1, 2005 These people are not right in the head
Shiras Report post Posted December 1, 2005 I guess this makes Jesus a killer for feeding the 5000 with the boy's 5 loaves and 2 fish. Wow, I thought He was the Prince of Peace.... If there is a bigger display of idiocy, I would love to see it. Honestly, I believe this exposes them for the progressive, far left, michael moore loving freaks that they are. couesdiehard Report post Posted December 1, 2005 When does PETA season open again? I didn't get a deer this year and I think a big platter of PETA vegan and trout would be a fine Christmas feast! These people are so ridiculous. I can't believe how many people give their hard-earned money to PETA so they can produce this crap! Lee
kwp Report post Posted December 1, 2005 I just hope kids listen to their parents more than anyone else, especially these nut jobs. When I was little I thought that PETA stood for People for Eating Tasty Animals and believed that it was a real organization. It wasn't till I was quite a bit older that I found out who they really were.
lfootmatt Report post Posted December 1, 2005 I went to PETA's web site and you can download PDF files of all of their stuff. I couldn't find a hunting version like the fishing one. If you do, post the link. I printed the fishing one out. It is great, I haven't had that good of a laugh in a long time. Here are some links: http://www.petaliterature.com/prodinfo.asp...m=122&mitem=176 http://www.fishinghurts.com/pdfs/DaddyKill...=&id=4334a51a2e You've got to see some of the stupid stuff they put out. az4life Report post Posted December 1, 2005 I printed it out and you were right. It is laughable. I wish I had ordered a double meat burger today! I showed it to a friend and he said he was interviewed on a local news show about a month ago regarding the protest going on at his local fishing shop. He was shopping and the people there had the same slogans and had a guy dressed up in a fish costume. He said they told him they had gone to some schools to address the students too! I guess wearing a lampshade on your head when you get drunk was not good enough? Liberal Lunatics trying to corrupt the impressionable minds. Next thing you know, they will only offer salads and tofu at the school lunch counters.
Idahocoueshunter Report post Posted December 1, 2005 I asked my kids how they feel about this. They all laughed, while helping themselves to another slice of venison roast. These people are nut cases. I see where the NRA is going to debate PETA on television. Hope Wayne LaPierre sends them packing. Craig
25-06 Report post Posted December 1, 2005 These peta huggin little pricks make me sick I hope that some day I run into one of them out in the hills...
Chef Report post Posted December 2, 2005 careful there ought-six, That is exactly what they want, for us to beat the heck out of them and then portray us in a bad light. I was out Sandhill Crane hunting this past season in the Wilcox Playa area and ran into some of these wackos trying to scare the flocks. I spoke with the man in charge of the reserve there and he told me they set up with people and cameras nearby so they can get us on film if we do get nasty with them. These groups do have lawyers and money to back em up. Best thing to do is call the F&G on them and let them know if they are harrassing you. If they keep it up, I think it's a Federal offense to intervene in the lawful taking of game. Chef
25-06 Report post Posted December 2, 2005 Chef, I hear ya. I would'nt ever do anything stupid like that...so I take back what I said about runnin into one of them out in the hills. Although it would be fun
Couesi1 Report post Posted December 26, 2005 You know, it's actually encouraging to me that those folks have had to resort to recruiting children into their ranks via comic books. That's probably cause they must be scuffling on their marketing and business plan approaches. They'll always be able to get Hollywood $$ cause the "fuzzy animal" and "if it has brown eyes, it must have a soul" thing is sexy and draws support from folks with too much time and money on their hands. They approach certainly hasn't appealed to the overall majority of u.s. citizens in the middle, and they never will. P.S. if you ever want a good laugh, check out some of those websites, ALF (animal liberation front) etc. It's absolutely unbelievable! There are some people with some serious extra time on their hands. c-
billrquimby Report post Posted December 26, 2005 PETA and ALF are crazy like foxes. Like the terrorists they are, they know their outrageous acts get tv time and print space where they can spout their whacko beliefs. If only a tiny portion of their audiences believe what they say their efforts have succeeded. The best ways to fight these groups are to ignore them or have the public ridicule them. Unfortunately, media in the interest of "fairness" give them credibililty instead of treating them as the loonies they are. Bill Quimby
