390+ Bull at 55-60 yards too far...

Great pictures, +1 on what everyone else had to say. It would be a tradgedy for that bull not to be taken cleanly. Congrats for making the right choice!!!

It is never wrong to turn down a shot - you may beat yourself up in your mind for the next day, week, month, year(s) with woulda, coulda, shoulda's but it is better than losing an animal, trophy or not.

I loved watching both videos, I'm sure glad redemption came your way "fairly" soon. You deserved to be rewarded after showing restraint most could not on the first video. Nice job on a beautiful first bull

Great Video. Even with a 70lb draw that would have been a tough decision as one is always hoping the elk will come a little closer. In this case the decision was the right one and I respect the decision so no more sleepless nights. Thanks for the video, I am so pumped because this is the first year my wife put in for elk and I am more excited for her. Hope one of us get drawn.

My wife also shoots with a 50 pound draw and she will not shoot beyond 40 yards. It all depends on the hunter and who cares what anyone else thinks. There is nothing worse than shooting an animal and not recovering it. Great decision on your part for not taking the shot.

That was some good footage and good judgement on your wife's part. Knowing your limitation is one thing but sticking with it is another when a bull like that is out there. Great job of holding back. My max is 30yrds and only on a broadside no wind situation. Thanks for sharing. :)

That is just awesome. Showing restraint with a bull like that just outside of her comfortable range epitomizes putting ethics above legality. Great video BTW.
