I called today and gave my sad story spill and asked if they could give me my results and was told they were not going to be out until after April 1st. It was worth a try. It worked last year.

Bill.....never said my dumb idea was fair. lol I could see them doing it like the $5 call-in they once had. :D

No problem, TJ. I was only half joking about a Maricopa County event that nobody down here has heard of. There are a million people in our little valley here in the hinterlands we call Tucson and its environs, and it would be tough to impossible to find even 200 who have heard of the Expo. I had to go to the AZGFD site to discover what the heck you and others were talking about.

Don't remember being charged a $5 fee when calling for drawing results. When was that?

I thought the paid results deal was through a 900#. I could be wrong, but thats how I remember it. The 900 line wasn't busy and the 602# was.

Bill...I'm guessing about 8 or 10 years ago. If I recall right, it was a 900 number you could call and get your results for $5 and not have to wait on trying to get thru. I was one of the ones who couldn't wait and paid for the service. Maybe someone else can remember when this was implemented. :)

Possibility of the draw results being delayed. Read this about the Big Chino Ranch closure.

http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24296

Doug that could be a real issue as i believe the draw has already taken place. That ranch tried to do that last year and i knew they would this year. The Campbell Ranch did the same thing last year just a week or two before the hunt started and charged people a grand to hunt the ranch--there wasn't a 75" buck on that ranch from what i remember.

This will not hold the results up but i do feel sorry for those antelope hunters who were drawn for 19B--

In the meeting today they stated that the draw has NOT TAKEN PLACE. You can stop calling 942.3000 for a couple days at least.

I posted this in the Chino Grande thread also:

After discussion of options, the commission voted 3-2 to reduce the number of antelope permits in 19B to ZERO for both the archery and general hunts. There should be a press release later today.

The first option was to run the draw "as is" with successful 19B applicants having the option to not receive a permit and receive a refund and BP.

The second option was to run the draw with a reduced number of permits reflective of the possibility to not hunt Chino Grande.

The third option was to have 0 permits.

All options were said to have have negative impacts.

In the draw, a person's next hunt choice would move up with the removal of 19B hunt choices.

I understood the possible closure of Chino Grande to be due to development of solar energy.
