looking to buy a ground blind

Hey IM looking to buy a ground blind looking for one that two people can sit and have room to move my biggest problem is everyone I look at getting has shoot through mesh or zipper/velcro windows trying to get my wife into bowhunting and trying to get set up with the rite stuff to help her be successful thanks for any input

me and my dad picked up the primos vision ground blind from cabelas they go on sale some times for 129... has enough room for 2 people... good shooting windows. The only bad thing is both mine and my dads blinds zippers suck...

I really like my Ameristep Bone Collector. The windows open quietly and there are shooting ports in the large windows. It works well enough that I was able to take a couple deer (in VA) this year with my six year old playing her d.s. and eating snacks.

I am also considering the Ameristep Bone Collector. I am a newbie, and this will be my first hunt. The feature that appealed to me was the added height, as I am 6'3, and it would be nice to stretch the legs. As I understand it, they also have a hatch in the roof that you can open for increased ventilation and glassing..is this true?

I had the same blind before it was stolen on last year's archery deer hunt. Great blind, but my zipper sucked too. It got stuck half way after the second day I used it and it never worked right again. Other than that, it was a great blind and I will probably get another one.

Everybody had zipper issues with the Primos Vision. You can see the same comments all over if you search the web. Aside from that, they're a great blind for the money.

A ground blind is an excellent choice for you to get your wife interested in archery hunting. Make sure you make her as comfortable as possible so she can enjoy herself during the long waits that sometimes is neccessary to harvest an animal. No matter what make or model you buy a good ground cloth is a must. Not only does it keep the dust down, it makes moving around quiet. I use a moving blanket from Harbor Freight which is gray/black in color. Black side up to help keep the light low. Stay away from the ones that have the leafs along the seems or cut them off. Just because you can look out a window doesn't mean your arrow will clear so sit in one before you buy it and hold your hand up like you would be shooting. I have noticed some of the newer models have made the windows to high for us short people to have the proper arrow clearence. Ameristep is as good as it gets for the money. I personally wouldn't buy a primo blind. The old saying of "you get what you pay for" doesn't apply to most ground blinds. There is a reason why primo sells repacement parts. Double Bull blinds use to be the best built and trouble free until Primo bought them out in 2007. Primo is not worth the money you pay and they no longer warranty the lifetime warranty that came with Double Bull blinds. Happy hunting and good luck with your new blind.

I made the mistake of utilizing the "ventilation" opening on the roof once in my Vision. After sitting for 9 hours and being busted by 9-10 deer even though my blind had been set up 2 weeks prior to opening day, very well brushed in, scent controlled "as best we could" and being in full black ninja attire with black face paint. I decided to get out and see what the heck was going on. Well, it did not take long. I took 5 steps and looked at the blind and there it was. With the opening in the top the sun lite us up like a The Nightmare Before Christmas Tree. Any movement we made could have been seen by a grasshopper at 100 yards. What a waste of an opening day. Don't Let This Happen To You.....
